Spectrum is a conceptual mixed reality project which aims to reimagine what the VR experience could be. Instead of being a fixed virtual or augmented reality device, Spectrum blurs the lines between the two. It is designed to enable a seamless experience that allows the user to effortlessly go between the virtual and physical world, getting the best of both worlds in one complete package.
The headset has a semi-flexible frame that can be expanded to fit different head shapes. Easily adjusted by rotating the dial.
The visor has a layer of smart glass which turns opaque when current is applied. By pressing a button the user can change the headset from augmented to virtual reality.
The visor can easily slide up and out of view, allowing the user to exit their virtual experience without taking off the headset.
