Ripple was my major project for my final year of university. The project was the culmination of months of research, design development and user testing. It aimed to be a holistic treatment method for people that suffer from Insomnia.
The design development of this project followed a rigorous process of ideation, user feedback and further development. This led to a final design that was more aligned with the needs of the user. With the final design it was very important to convey the aesthetic of sleep and relaxation.
Ripple uses a combination of audio and visual stimuli to calm the user and get them into a mental state that is more conducive to sleep.
In addition to the physical product, an app was created to enhance the user/product interaction. The purpose of the app would be to allow the user to analyse data, change settings and track their progress. The app was designed with a dark colour scheme to minimise blue light exposure..
